During recent months, officers in Box Elder County say they've dealt with about 40 overdoses and 3 deaths.

An undercover sergeant with the Box Elder Narcotic Strike Force said rural communities had stayed relatively clear of fentanyl for some time. Tremonton Assistant Police Chief Brian Crockett says fentanyl use is on the rise in Box Elder County, Wednesday. He says many of the drug deals are happening over social media.
