Westfield , the No. 23 team in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches’ latest girls rankings, got off to a 14-0 start in the first quarter. Six different Mustangs scored. including Merchant who had 12 points and Craft added 10 with two three-pointers. “Just overall, we had a goal tonight to come out here and play hard, get some fast-break points and play good defense to jump-start our offense,” Jackson said. “I think we did that with the zones that we ran and things like that.”
