Fans of classic Adam Sandler comedies got some unexpected news on Friday.

Sandler isMichael McDonald, who played the pro-golfer antagonist Shooter McGavin in the film, revealed the plans during a segment on "The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima."
“I saw Adam about two weeks ago, and he says to me, ‘McDonald, you’re gonna love this.’ I said, ‘What?’ He says, ’How ‘bout that,’ he shows me the first draft of 'Happy Gilmore 2,'" the 69-year-old actor said.the sequel will be slated for Netflix, though Sandler himself has yet to officially confirm the project.
“Maybe you should cut that out, because I don’t wanna be a liar, but he did show me that , and I thought, ‘Well, that would be awesome,’" said McDonald. "So, it’s in the works. Fans demand it, damn it. Adam’s just killing it out there."Co-stars Carl Weathers , Richard Kiel and Bob Barker , have all since passed away.
