A famous location from the Harry Potter movies is being bombarded by rude tourists and drivers, and angry residents are sharing the stories.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Life in Malham is becoming more difficult as tourists visit to experience the iconic Harry Potter location. The Harry Potter film series, based on the works of the controversial author J.K. Rowling, began in 2001 and featured eight films. The series ended in 2011 and brought in a combined $7.7 billion for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Unfortunately, the appearance has produced serious problems for the town. Residents have been complaining about littering, parking issues, and poor attitudes by Harry Potter tourists. Several residents spoke with Teesside Live about the constant concerns that the tourists have been creating in the village.

Brian Jackson: “It’s ridiculous, they just park everywhere. I’ve asked people to move and the reaction is not good. They say ‘What f****** right have you got to stop us parking here?' I own it! I don’t know what they think. They swear at me all the time. If we don’t pick it up [their dog poop] ourselves within a day or two, the place would be just horrible. Dog poo bags is the worst thing, why people put dog poo in a bag and then just leave it, I don’t know.

Annabelle Bradley: “I’m not sure people are that aware of it being a Harry Potter location for that one scene it was in. I know papers keep putting about how it’s a Harry Potter location but people in general do not associate it with Harry Potter. Certainly none of the residents associate it with Harry Potter, as they never came here. It was just one scene and all it was a helicopter flying above the cove filming the limestone pavements.

Peter Layton: “It’s very frustrating they can bring [litter] all in full but they can’t take it home empty. It’s just amazing that people can do that and not think twice about leaving it behind. If we left it, it wouldn’t be a natural beauty spot – it would be a dump.”
