SALT LAKE CITY — A Lehi woman was sentenced in federal court this week to 18 months in prison and two years of supervised release after prosecutors say she defrauded investors of $5 million.
"The information Ms. Huang provided to investors was just completely false," said U.S. District Judge David Barlow, according to. "These false statements didn't just happen once or twice, but over a period of years." Huang paid the court $300,000 at her sentencing hearing Tuesday and will have to pay a total of $5,025,000 in restitution, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
