ComingSoon can exclusively debut the trailer for The Land That Time Forgot, a new science-fiction movie featuring dinosaurs from The Asylum.
The Land That Time Forgot is a new movie from The Asylum, the film production and distribution company that is best known for making direct-to-video mockbusters. This is The Asylum’s second adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ novel following a 2009 film directed by C. Thomas Howell; however, the two movies are not connected.
Burroughs’ book was published in 1918. It is the first novel in Burroughs’ Caspak series, followed by The People That Time Forgot and Out of Time’s Abyss. Prior to the 2009 version starring Howell, Timothy Bottoms, and Darren Dalton, The Land That Time Forgot was adapted into a British-American film that was released in 1974. That movie was directed by Kevin Connor, written by Michael Moorcock, and stars Doug McClure, John McEnery, Susan Penhaligon, Keith Barron, and more.
