Gymnastics fans in San Diego County can rejoice: Simone Biles and Co. have added a second night to their Gold Over America Tour , which will now kick off a day earlier in Oceanside.It’s described as a pop concert-style spectacle, full of high energy and athleticism. There are no medals up for grabs, just pure entertainment.
The GOAT tour kicks off at Oceanside's new sports venue, the Frontwave Arena, on Monday, Sept. 16, and will stop in Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and Houston, among other cities.Ahead of the tour's kick-off, legendary Olympic gymnast Simone Biles sat down with NBC 7 to discuss the upcoming events, to reflect on Paris and what's next for the superstar.
Simone Biles: It was so amazing. We had one goal in mind, which was team competition and we achieved just that. We were so excited 'cause we were gunning for that for so long and we knew we could do it. So once it was finally said and done, we were so ecstatic.: 'Are you going for 2028?' I know that’s what you guys are wondering. Obviously, we are going to start off with this tour. We have 30 cities and 32 shows.
