The sunset behind the Chinese Dragon display at the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. The festival is a celebration of light and culture that features steel-framed and silk-wrapped giant lighted sculptures, created by hand. The festival will returns June 20, 2024.
This rain-or-shine event will run from June 20 to Aug. 18 at the wheel-chair accessible park on 6th and Race Streets. Attendees can expect a family-friendly outing with impressive illuminated displays, cultural performances, a fountain show, and a 200-foot-long dragon.The festival is open daily from June 20 through Aug. 18, 6 to 11 p.m. . Franklin Square will close at 5 p.m. each day for preparations.. Timed tickets are required for entry on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
