U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm told lawmakers the Department of Energy's proposed efficiency standards for electric and gas stoves will not impact the majority of cooking tops

fielded questions on her department's proposed efficiency standards for gas and electric stove appliances Thursday, reiterating to lawmakers that there is currently no plan to ban gas stoves.
