Fans loved the 'brilliant' twist
On Wednesday Emmerdale started by replaying the moment Gabby was left stunned after husband-to-be, Nicky, revealed he can't marry her because he is gay. While Emmerdale viewers have known for a while that Nicky has been sneaking around with Ally, it still broke their hearts watching Gabby discover the news.
Nicky panicked and worried he would be arrested - Caleb told him he would need to run. Nicky said: "Dad I can't just..." but before he could finish the sentence Caleb pushed him to the floor stating: "You can just, and you will just, right?" @Jamal06122771 added: "If I was Nicky after that outburst from Caleb, I would tell Cain and Moira everything." But in a shock chain of events, as Caleb put his sly plan into action, Kim Tate walked into the room revealing she had known all along about what he had been plotting.
