Musk said district attorneys who repeatedly fail to uphold laws represent a shortcut tactic to changing laws.
X owner Elon Musk spoke out against billionaire philanthropist George Soros this week for repeatedly working to help elect district attorneys who are soft on crime.
In an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Musk said Soros's efforts to finance and legitimize progressive prosecutors has had a significantly negative impact on many U.S. cities.. “He’s doing things that erode the fabric of civilization. Getting DAs elected that refuse to prosecute crime, that’s part of the problem in San Francisco and LA.”
He continued, noting that district attorneys who repeatedly fail to uphold laws represent a shortcut tactic to changing laws. “Soros realized that you don’t actually need to change the laws, you just need to change how they’re enforced,” Musk said. “If no one chooses to enforce the laws, or the laws are differentially enforced, it’s like changing the laws.”District attorneys across the country have long earned criticism for being too soft on criminals.
