Elliot Page and Himesh Patel are the latest additions to Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic, 'The Odyssey', which boasts a star-studded cast including Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Anne Hathaway. The film, based on Homer's classic tale of Odysseus's journey home, will be shot using brand new IMAX film technology and is set for release on July 17, 2026.
Similar to past casting announcements, Garcia and Lee’s roles are unknown as of now, with no real information on who will be playing who as of yet. Garcia is known for his roles in the 2006 independent drama Quinceañera, and most recently starred in 2023’s Flamin’ Hot and The Mother.
Will Yun Lee has appeared in countless roles and is best known for starring in Netflix’s Altered Carbon series and the ABC medical drama The Good Doctor. Lee most recently lent his voice to Blade Runner: Black Lotus, where he starred as Joseph in the English dub of the anime.Early reports suggest that Pattinson, Damon, Holland, and Hathaway will make up “the core leads” of the movie.
“Christopher Nolan’s next film The Odyssey is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology,” Universal said about the upcoming film. “The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026.
The Odyssey follows the story of the Greek hero Odysseus, king of Ithaca, as he journeys home after the Trojan War. Presumed dead, Odysseus’ wife Penelope and son Telemachus contend with various suitors who compete for Penelope’s hand in Odysseus’ absence.
