President Biden’s campaign is planning two events in Pennsylvania as he and his staff remain defiant against calls to drop out.
Sen. J.D. Vance said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday that he supported presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump’s call to investigate the current president, characterizing it as a legitimate inquiry into possible wrongdoing. “I think what Donald Trump is simply saying is, we ought to investigate the prior administration,” Vance said.
“There are obviously many instances of wrongdoing,” he said, even though Republicans who control the House have not unearthed evidence of wrongdoing during an impeachment inquiry that has stalled out in recent months. “All he’s suggesting is that we should investigate credible arguments of wrongdoing,” Vance said. 'That’s all that Donald Trump is saying. That is not a threat to democracy.
