El fiscal especial Jack Smith, encargado de la acusación contra Donald Trump, pidió este martes al tribunal encargado del juicio contra el expresidente estadounidense por el asalto al Capitolio que garantice la protección de los miembros del jurado que se conforme para este caso.

Smith ha remitido esta petición argumentando que la relevancia del caso lo exige, pero también la conducta del propio Trump, quien hace solo una semana, en el juicio por fraude empresarial contra su compañía, atacó en su red social a la secretaria de este tribunal en Nueva York.

'El acusado lo hizo a través de su cuenta de Truth Social, que siguen 6,4 millones de personas, colgando una fotografía' de esta trabajadora y con el mensaje: 'La novia del senador está llevando este caso contra mí, qué vergonzoso. ¡Este caso debería ser desestimado inmediatamente!' Tras lo ocurrido el juez obligó a las partes a no hablar de los miembros ni trabajadores del tribunal públicamente.
