Eastbound Interstate 90 is closed 16 miles east of Ellensburg due to numerous crashes.
“If you’re planning a trip from the Puget Sound area across Snoqualmie Pass toward Spokane, you may want to delay your travel for quite a while or seek alternate routes in the meantime,” the Washington State Department tweeted at around 7 a.m.The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said drivers should expect westbound I-90 to be icy with possible fog.
There is no estimated time for the interstate to reopen. WSP said drivers will have to use local roads to get around the closure.
