Several people were detained during an early-morning raid at a Southwest Side house. The raid happened just after 6 a.m. Wednesday at a home off Port Victoria Street near Interstate 35.
He also said that some items that were recovered were stolen from a Northside Independent School District vehicle while at the officer's home. We have some that we believe are outfitted for tactical use," he said. "It's possible those came from a law enforcement agency, but we're still trying to determine that. There are no obvious markings on them.
"This subject had access to some pretty impressive firepower," Sheriff Salazar said. "But thankfully, he gave up without a fight."
