Eamonn Holmes explains his four month-long break from TV following 'soul-destroying' injury
Eamonn Holmes has opened up on on his health following a four month break from TV presenting. The GB News host took to social media to tell his followers of his return - much to the delight of many. The 63-year-old was off sick after a nasty fall that left him with a broken shoulder.
"You may or may not be aware of what happened to me. I got some back surgery, I’ve had disc problems for a year and a half or so, and then got some back surgery, which affected one of my legs, which led to me falling downstairs, led to me breaking my shoulder. So I had a leg that didn't work and a shoulder that didn't work, and lots of other things in between."
Back in December, Eamonn also opened up to his followers on social media about his frustrations at having to 'rely on others' due to his mobility issues. "Worked hard at my physio this morning," he wrote on Twitter. Earlier in 2022, the broadcaster also suffered with shingles, calling the condition "painful" and "exhausting." According to the NHS, shingles is an infection that generally causes a painful rash to appear. Symptoms include a "tingling or pain" on the skin, as well as a headache and generally feeling unwell.
