The Eagles played the Ravens Sunday in Baltimore.
Linebacker Zack Baun and the Eagles' No. 1-ranked defense had another huge game during Sunday's win over the Ravens in Baltimore.
After the once great Justin Tucker missed field goals from 47 and 53 yards in the third quarter that would have given the Ravens the lead, the Eagles needed a sustained drive to take control of the game. They had gone three-and-out on their two possessions in the third quarter. Chants of “MVP, MVP” followed as another large legion of Eagles fans traveled the short distance south for another road game.
Barkley finished with 107 yards rushing to go over the 1,500 mark for the season. He has rushed for more than 100 yards in eight of the Eagles’ 12 games and has had more than 100 yards from scrimmage in 10 of 12. The Eagles dominated the yards battle against Jacksonville, but let the Jags hang around, creating some doubt about their ability to finish. They erased that doubt a week later by bashing a bad Dallas team in Jerry World, then followed that up with a convincing win at the Linc in their first-place showdown with the Washington Commanders.
A Nakobe Dean stop of Derrick Henry for no gain on second down led to a three-and-out series for the Ravens and forced a punt from the end zone. The Eagles took advantage of a series that started at the Baltimore 49, scoring on six plays. Barkley ran for nine yards to keep the drive alive on a third-and-four play from the 43 and Hurts finished things off with a 17-yard touchdown throw Dallas Goedert.
