A visit to Wimbledon to support her friend, Serena Williams, has turned into a controversy for the Duchess of Sussex.
Rows of empty seats surrounded Meghan and her friends, leaving some to speculate the duchess, or her security, requested the extra layer of privacy. They did however explain that reports that members were blocked from entering the members seating while Meghan was there are completely untrue. One attendee, Sally Jones, told the U.K.'s Daily Telegraph that as she took photos of Williams during the match, a Royal Protection Officer tapped her on the shoulder.
"It’s not unusual for people accompanying members of the royal family at private or public engagements to ask members of the public not to take photographs," a royal source told ABC News."This is to enable members of the royal family to properly engage with people and events."
