A police pursuit ensued after Victor A. Caneza, 38, allegedly sped away from the scene of a three-vehicle crash on I-495 near Eisenhower Avenue. Caneza was involved in another crash before fleeing on foot across both eastbound and westbound lanes of the interstate. He disappeared into a drainage system but was eventually located by police near a drainpipe opening a quarter-mile from his entry point.
Things began around 2:40 p.m. on Monday when state troopers responded to two motor vehicle crashes on the eastbound side of I-495 near Eisenhower Avenue.
However, one driver, later identified as Victor A. Caneza, 38, allegedly sped away from the scene, prompting a police pursuit.
