A 59-year-old woman died after her vehicle was struck on Route 539 in Pemberton Township.
Jeff Goldman | NJ Advance Media for NJ.comThe crash took place at about 5:45 p.m. when a 40-year-old Princeton man driving south on Route 539 struck the woman’s vehicle as she attempted to turn from Longswamp Road, Plumsted Township police said Tuesday.
The man was hospitalized with injuries, while the woman, a Browns Mills resident, died of her injuries at a different hospital. There were no passengers in either vehicle and it’s not known if the drivers were wearing seat belts, a spokesman said Tuesday. Police are still trying to located the woman’s family and have not released her identity, the spokesman said.
The crash remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Pemberton Township police at 609-758-7185.
