From there, investigators said the driver then hit a curb causing him to hit a tree and crash through a chain-link fence before landing in a community swimming pool.Lt. Willkens with HPD said a sergeant at the scene jumped into the pool to try and rescue the driver inside but to no avail. A dive team was then called to recover the man’s body.
