Police responded to a report of a car that struck a pedestrian and the drive left the scene on June 8. The suspect was located and charged with simple assault, stopping after an accident, disregard of safety on streets, driving under OVI suspension and unlawful plates. He was transported to Lorain County Jail.
An officer attempted to stop a driver for an expired vehicle registration on June 6. The driver didn’t have identification but gave the officer a name and date of birth. While the officer verified the information, the driver fled the scene. A passenger in the car confirmed the driver’s identity. The suspect faces charges of resisting arrest, providing false information to an officer, and obstructing official business.On June 11, police checked on a suspicious condition of an open door on a semi.
