Exclusive: In a new clip from DressingFunny, tanfrance teaches aliwong the art of the French tuck
Dressing Funny
spans around 10 minutes as France tries to keep up with his guests’ comedic antics. This week’s client?France noted that Wong’s approach to style is different from that of most comedians. “She really considers her look,” he said. “Whereas I think for most other comedians, it’s just that fashion isn’t something that they're really thinking of—especially when it comes to men. They’re putting on an outfit that isn’t going to detract from what they’re doing.
Although this was France’s first time meeting Wong, he had a hunch they’d click immediately—and they did, as you’ll see in the exclusive clip above. What surprised theThe two broke the ice by sharing sushi before filming began—and from there they became fast friends for the day. Although France does admit he played a gentle prank on his guest: “I made her go around the store and pick things out that she might like,” France explained.
“That’s throwing no shade at Tina,” France added immediately. “She’s the nicest person; truly, she’s been the kindest to me for months and months. It’s just the gravitas of what she brings [that] is shocking.” Ultimately, France said, making that episode was one of the best moments of his life.
Regardless of whom he’s dressing, France has an easy rapport with all of his guests, and the series is well paced; the makeovers move along at a brisk speed and never seem to drag. And as delightful as it is to see France make over total strangers onthis series does, as he notes, put him in a new element—one that requires him to reveal his personality more wholly than ever before.
