A new teaser trailer for the upcoming film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero reveals the return of Frieza, Broly, and Ultimate Gohan. Dragon Ball was created by Akira Toriyama back in 1984, and the beloved Japanese media franchise went on to spawn several manga, anime series, and film adaptations. Today, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Super remain some of the most popular animes of all time, focusing on the iconic character of Kakarot aka Goku.
Following 2018's Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the Crunchyroll network and Toei Animation’s Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the second installment in the Dragon Ball Super film franchise. The movie picks up decades after a young Goku destroyed the evil organization known as the Red Ribbon Army, which has now been reformed by Dr. Hedo. The character adheres to the primary goal of getting revenge on Goku.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’s first trailers showed Gohan using his Super Saiyan forms, which some interpreted as a betrayal of his prior decision to focus on his Ultimate form and achieve a form that no Saiyan has ever unlocked. Thankfully, the above clip shows Gohan in all his Mystic glory. Furthermore, Toriyama recently revealed that he considers Gohan to be the strongest Z-Fighter, who just needs to be motivated by his revered teacher, Piccolo.
