Jackie Chun and Tien Shinhan are matched against each other in one of the semi-finals. A tough battle ensues, forcing the two contestants to make use of their combat skills as well as their intelligence.
Originally aired in 1987, the fourth season begins at the semi-final stage of the World Martial Arts Tournament. Jackie Chun faces Tien Shinhan in the match, making it one of the most highly contested clashes in the competition. Tien takes up the offensive front but is skilfully countered by Jackie. He then returns the favor after Jackie reveals his clone technique. Meanwhile, Goku faces Krillin in his semi-final bout.
