City of Dothan clarifies email sent regarding power costs in Dothan

Dothan Utilities Manager Billy Mayes said an average customer who uses 1500 kilowatt hours would see a $31.50 increase based upon current energy costs. “Dothan Utilities has been one of the lowest cost power providers in the Southeast for many years. Unfortunately, to cover costs, we must pass along this increase in price to our customers,” the city of Dothan said in a statement.
