Brooks signed with the Miami Dolphins as a free agent.
Former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Jordyn Brooks is back in town, this time as a member of the Miami Dolphins. After completing his rookie contract, the 2020 first-round pick signed with the Dolphins on a three-year contract worth just over $26 million in free agency. Sunday’s Week 3 matchup between Seattle and Miami will mark Brooks’ return to Lumen Field, but in a different uniform.
” “A lot of the guys on defense that I played with, a lot of the younger guys,” Brooks added when asked about whether he’s close with any of his former teammates. “It will be good to see them and then compete against them.” Miami’s hopes of pulling off an upset will likely depend on stopping a Seahawks pass attack led by quarterback Geno Smith, who was a backup to Russell Wilson when Brooks joined the team and is now in his third season as a starter.
