Leanne Cawtherley, who is the owner of The Sweetest Thing Cakery on Warner Street in Accrington, is preparing to host a grand opening of her new business, Fetch Dog Boutique and Bakery. The boutique will be above Lilly’s Dog Grooming on the same street and will stock a range of handmade clothing, toys, accessories and organic treats for dogs and pets, as well as a treat station.
Leanne from Accrington, who has a sausage dog called Brockman, will be baking sweet treats for dogs to sell in her new pet boutique. The former personal trainer, 37, has been collaborating with other local and independent owners in the town to support them. Maxine’s bandanas, which are handmade in Accrington, will be sold at the boutique and a local nature photographer’s photos will be available to purchase.Leanne, who was featured on TV programme, Wedding Valley, said: “I have a love for dogs and I spend a lot of time in Lilly’s Dog Grooming. The owner of Lilly’s Dog Grooming, John Dougall and I decided to become business partners since there was a space above his shop that was empty.
“People are really excited for the shop to open and the invite I have posted on Facebook has attracted a lot of interest. I feel very excited to open this new business and I can’t wait for everyone to come and try it.Dogs can be treated to birthday cakes, treat boxes, ‘woofins’ , and even have their picture taken in a photobooth. The shop is furnished with sustainable items and has a nature theme.
The grand opening of Fetch Pet Boutique will have special offers and freebies to take advantage of and is taking place on today and tomorrow from 10am to 5pm. Dogs and their owners can use the photobooth free of charge during the grand opening.
