Justin Turner is leaving Los Angeles.

The Dodgers mainstay who made two All-Star teams and won a World Series in L.A. is signing a two-year deal with the Boston Red Sox, ESPN's Jeff Passan reports. The 38-year-old infielderon the deal that comes with an opt-out clause, according to the report. He's expected to primarily play at first base and designated hitter with All-Star Rafael Devers manning third base in Boston.

Turner started his career with the Baltimore Orioles and New York Mets, but made his name after joining the Dodgers in 2014. A fan favorite, Turner received MVP votes in three consecutive seasons from 2016-18 and won a World Series as one of the Dodgers' longest-tenured players in 2020. He made his most recent All-Star team in 2021 and rallied after a slow start to finish last season slashing .278/.350/.438 with 13 home runs and 81 RBI.
