Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness soars at the box office
Variety noted that the Marvel feature's opening will greatly surpass that of the original Doctor Strange feature, which earned $85 million in its 2016 debut.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also fared well overseas, as it earned $27 million in other territories. In addition to Cumberbatch, the movie starred performers such as Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Benedict Wong.
