The Democratic National Committee will hold a virtual roll call to certify President Joe Biden as the party’s nominee prior to the party’s convention in August. Ohio’s deadline to certify a presidential nominee and get on the state’s ballot is Aug. 7. The Democratic National Convention, where the party typically certifies its nominee, is scheduled to start on Aug. 19, after the deadline.
