An up-and-coming Houston DJ died Wednesday, more than a week after falling from an apartment building's balcony, according to multiple TV reports and social media posts.
Darian Lewis, who performed under the name DJ D Baby, on July 4 fell four stories from a balcony at the Camden Downtown Apartments on Austin Street,She was 23 years old. Lewis fell from a balcony on the 13th floor of the building to a pool deck on the 9th floor, according to reports.A post shared by DJ D BABY
Lewis began performing as a DJ after graduating from high school and while attending Texas Southern University, she said in an April interview with Voyage Dallas, a local news and entertainment website. She said her goal in life was to become an official DJ for a accomplished national recording artist.Lewis this year also started her own business selling hookahs, according to her social media posts.
