After eight years at the helm of Diversionary Theatre, where he oversaw a $2.7 million renovation and led the company through the pandemic, executive artistic director Matt M. Morrow has announced he is stepping down at the end of June.

Jenny Case, Diversionary’s longtime managing director, will step into the role of executive director in July while a national search begins for Morrow’s replacement. Case said that Morrow’s leadership has been critical to growing the company and helping it survive recent tumultuous times.“Over the last eight years, Matt Morrow’s talent and profound leadership has navigated Diversionary into being the strong and beloved theater it is today,” Case said.

Diversionary’s 38th season will be announced later this month, with productions running from the fall through summer 2024.
