DFW Weather: Warm and humid Memorial Day Weekend with the chance for storms
Memorial Day Weekend will be feeling A LOT like summer. Highs will be in the 90s with a heat index in the 100s on Saturday. Temperatures will be trending close to five degrees warmer than normal. While most stay dry, there is a chance for storms this afternoon. Sunday's storms will be even more sparse and likely staying northeast. Have a way to get warnings!
Did you see Sunday? Actual temperatures get close to the triple digits. A front will come in late Sunday into Monday. It'll help knock temps down to the low 90s with slightly lower humidity. Most will stay dry on Saturday, but there is a risk for isolated severe storms this afternoon. Storms could start around 5 p.m. for our western counties. If they hold together, the ETA for DFW would be after 7 p.m. The highest risk for severe weather will be west in the Enhanced risk.
A cold front arrives in time to drop humidity for Memorial Day Monday. The highs will still trend warmer than normal, but at least the heat index stays out of the 100s.
