One of Plano’s most experienced developers is eyeing a new office project.

Cawley Partners has constructed several Plano office projects, along with buildings further south on the Dallas North Tollway. Now the developer is planning a five-story office building at 1600 North Dallas Parkway, south of Park Boulevard, according to planning documents filed with the state.Called Steeplechase, the project is set to begin in March and will cost $43 million, the state filing details. The building and adjoining parking garage won’t open until 2025.Earlier this year Cawley Partners filed plans with Plano showing almost a dozen office and retail buildings on the vacant 23-acre property.

Also this year Cawley Partners sold one of its new Plano buildings. The HQ53 office building in Plano’s Legacy business park is a 248,861-square-foot project at 5301 Headquarters Drive.. The sale was the highest price per square foot ever achieved for a similar building in Legacy business park.
