Summary The Equalizer becomes a global hit on Netflix a decade after its release. Based on the 1980s TV series of the same title, the 2014 action thriller was directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by Richard Wenk, following a former Marine and black ops operative who reluctantly comes out of retirement to protect a teenage trafficking victim from members of the Russian mafia.
