A Denver man has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife.

On July 18, 2019, Bivins shot Tia Bivins inside their home in the 3200 block of Dexter Street, according to the release. About 22 hours after the shooting, Bivins walked into the Denver Police District Two Station, 3921 Holly St., and told officers that he had shot his wife. Bivins gave police the address of their home, and officers found Tia dead inside the residence, according to a probable cause statement in the case.with the Service Employees International Union Local 105. Union colleagues, at the time of her death, described Tia on Facebook as a mother, grandmother and a “true warrior for working people.”
