Therefore, rebuilding some lost confidence was of paramount importance for Mathis, but Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph believes Mathis has been getting back in the groove this summer. It would appear McMillian is a lock for the critical assignment inside, but Joseph appears happy to let the positional battle rumble on between Moss and Mathis right up until the witching hour. The bottom line is that everyone is being asked to make strides forward in developing their game.
