Presented each year by Hilde Schwab, chairwoman and co-founder of the World Economic Forum’s World Arts Forum, this year’s recipients represent diverse fields, including architecture, fashion, and sport. They are lauded for their notable efforts in promoting community regeneration, gender equality, children’s rights, and other crucial causes.Diane von Furstenberg, the renowned designer, philanthropist, and author, will receive the award for her unwavering dedication to empowering women through philanthropy, mentorship, and social responsibility. As the founder of her eponymous brand and the creator of the iconic wrap dress, she has consistently championed women’s independence and strength, emerging as a leading voice in the movement for gender equality and women’s rights. von Furstenberg is celebrated for her impactful contributions to the fashion industry and her commitment to uplifting women globally. She founded the DVF Awards, an initiative dedicated to recognizing, supporting, and amplifying the voices of extraordinary women who are transforming the lives of other women. Each year, the DVF Awards honor five recipients with a grant to further their impactful work.Beckham will be recognized for his long-standing humanitarian work and dedication to improving the lives of children worldwide. This year marks two decades as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Beckham, who is also a founding member of Malaria No More.
