The following Dauphin County restaurants were found to have violated Pennsylvania’s health and safety regulations between the dates of August 12-18, 2024.
Observed some, not all, in the walk-in cooler and being held more than 24 hours is not date marked with the date it was opened or made. LOVE’S: Observed numerous foods stored directly on the floor in the walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer, and back dry stock areas, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required.
LOVE’S: Observed two cases of Specialty Bakers bread stored on the floor in the display/grab-and-go cooler back area which clearly stated store at 0 degrees or below at all times. Food was being stored at 40 degrees when temped by me. Observed the following food contact surfaces: LOVE’S: Lid dispensers at the self-serve lines have food debris build-up on the outer and interior portions of the closing lid and are in need of cleaning. Tong holders at the self-serve area with heavy accumulation of dried food debris and napkins on the interior indicating that these food contact pieces of equipment are never being cleaned and should be cleaned or changed out every four hours, as required.
Exit door located in the restroom area and exit door in the back storage area of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals.The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection.
