Data is the answer for communications service providers, but what are the right questions? paid Oracle

As the digital economy evolved, the market for communications services transformed dramatically. Online upstarts with names such as YouTube and Netflix, WeChat and WhatsApp offered digital services that were innovative, engaging and easy to use.

Data is a hot commodity. Providers make money by selling aggregated and anonymized datasets to advertisers and marketers. Sophisticated data analytics, focused on parameters such as location, demographics, and time, can boost the value of those datasets to a variety of companies in a range of industries.

But CSPs shouldn’t limit their analysis to internal data. They must examine information from outside sources, especially social channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, where customers often complain to their peers about the problems they’re having with vendors. By correlating and analyzing internal and external data, CSPs can generate a fuller view of their customers and more personally address the problems they’re having as well as the opportunities they represent.

Analyzing operations data will help CSPs better manage internal processes, detect intrusions, recognize fraud, and improve network design—ultimately cutting costs while improving the customer experience.Right Question: Is our entire data infrastructure secure?
