Bernard Jimmerson, 39, is charged with firing at passing cars, striking a 21-year-old woman in the head.
OAKLAND — A city resident, apparently irritated by speeding motorists outside his home, allegedly fired an assault rifle into a passing car and killed a 21-year-old woman, according to Alameda County prosecutors.
In a news release by the Alameda County District Attorney, Jimmerson is described as “an Oakland resident and the father of two young children” who later told police that he was upset about cars constantly speeding outside his home on MacArthur Boulevard near 90th Avenue. Police say Bedford was driving a black Mercedes ML500 around 2:19 a.m. Saturday with another woman in the car when she was shot in the head.
