A cyclist has died after being hit by a HGV in Glasgow city centre. Full story:
Police are investigating following a serious crash, which took place in Broomielaw, near the Casino, around 10.10am this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and the cyclist was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where they died a short time later. Sections of nearby Robertson Street, Oswald Street and York Street were all closed as emergency services, including ambulance workers, police officers and firefighters, attended the scene.
