Cypress Lakes head football coach Ronald Patton was named Cy-Fair ISD's new associate athletic director Wednesday.
“I am honored and blessed to join a team that serves the CFISD coaches, athletes and community daily. CFISD has some of the most talented and driven athletes and coaches in the state and I look forward to supporting them all,” Patton said via Cy-Fair ISD. After finishing his playing career at Texas A&M, Patton started his coaching career at Langham Creek in 2000, where he spent time as a defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator for three seasons, and at Cypress Ridge as a defensive coordinator from 2004-2009 before landing his first head coaching job at Lamar Consolidated.
