The statue – which stands 43-feet-tall, weighs around 6,000 pounds and is made up of foam and rebar -- is part of the “Crooked and Obscene” Tour, described by a spokesperson as"an independent art project dedicated to fostering public discourse through provocative installations." “By merging bold visuals with political commentary, the tour encourages critical thinking and engagement with contemporary issues affecting society today," the spokesperson wrote.Philadelphia GOP Chair Vince Fenerty told the Philadelphia Inquirer
that he filed an obscenity report after hearing about the statue on police scanners. Fenerty said he was told by officers that the space was rented for 24 hours by the artists but they asked for it to be disassembled due to its graphic nature, police confirmed with NBC10.
