Fire crews were battling a brush fire near Torrey Pines State Beach on Tuesday afternoon, and police were evacuating nearby homes.
Three helicopters and a plane assigned to the firefight “were making good progress” and the fire was roughly five to seven acres, the department said on X, formerly Twitter.
