Officials say the fire began at an apartment complex near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road sometime before 4:30 p.m.
Crews found two apartments on the second floor on fire and smoke extended into the attic space of other adjacent units, according to Phoenix fire.Firefighters are on the scene of a second alarm structure fire in the area of 19th Ave and Thunderbird Rd in Phoenix.
