FrankGrillo has reportedly been tapped to portray the DCU's RickFlag Sr. in JamesGunn & PeterSafran's CreatureCommandos series for DCStudios.
\nLooks like we have some casting news to pass along regarding what will be DC Studios' James Gunn & Peter Safran's first project out of the gate. Earlier today, The Wrap reported exclusively that Frank Grillo has been tapped to portray the DCU's Rick Flag Sr in the upcoming animated series based on writer J. M. DeMatteis & artist Pat Broderick's Creature Commandos.
The series will be executive produced & penned by Jeremy Carver and DCU writers' room writer Christal Henry.\n'Lanterns': Being compared to 'a huge HBO-quality event' along the lines of 'True Detective,' the series will focus on Hal Jordan and John Stewart, who investigate a mystery that Safran said 'plays a really big role leading us into the main story that we're telling across our film and television. So this is a very important show for us.
