Creature Commandos Latest News The latest details on the show come from James Gunn, who has assured fans that Creature Commandos is still on schedule for release in late 2024. While Gunn mentioned the show is on schedule, he did not give an exact date of when to expect Creature Commandos.
Creature Commandos Production Status On March 6, in response to a question about the status of the show, James Gunn confirmed on Threads that the animatics for Creature Commandos are cut and finalized. Gunn also made it clear that, while the show's animation team is working on the final product, this process will take time.
The Creature Commandos team will most likely be led by Rick Flag Sr., played by Frank Grillo. Grillo, as well as his co-stars David Harbour and Maria Bakalova, have some superhero experience already, as they have all played roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Grillo played Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones, Harbour plays Red Guardian, and Bakalova recently worked with Creature Commandos showrunner James Gunn on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, where she voiced Cosmo.
